Term 2- Publisher and Internet Research
53Voyager
This is the first assignment that we had done in Microsoft Word
Publisher. In 53Voyager, I had to create a newsletter for Voyager Travel
Adventures to convince their customers on taking a trip. I had to align text in
a certain way so that it would be readable to the public. I also had to add a
picture of a waterfall somewhere within the letter. To complete the letter, I
had to choose a template that looked nice. I bolded the first letter of every
column and shaded when needed so it looked more realistic. I learned how to
work Publisher and all its features by doing this assignment. I also learned
how to import a picture into a column and make it look nice. I think I picked
out a nice template and added the picture in the right spot. If I could change
something I would make the text more organized and easier to
read.

Career Research
The Career Research project was the biggest document we had
worked on. First we had to take an interests quiz located on a site called
O*Net and pick the top three interest results. Then using those three interest
results we had to pick ten careers and answers multiple questions about them.
We used specific websites that was located on the instructions to investigate
these careers and interests. For each career we had to explain information like
what they do in this job, specific fields related to it, education needed, the
personality traits, the income, the predicted growth, the organizations and
unions, the promotions, and the type of environment. I had to use the websites
to track down information. I also had to format my careers so it looked neat. I
learned how to take a screen shot of my quiz results by pressing a button on
the keyboard. I researched the information fully and took down ever important
detail. If I could change something I would make the text for each career a
different color so it would be easier to read.
