Teen Payroll
Teen Payroll was created in Microsoft Excel, which is a new
technology program that was taught in class. In this assignment I had uses
specific formulas to calculate the net and gross pay. I also had to use
different formulas to find different requirements in this activity. At the end
I had to highlight the gross and net pay by coloring the background for those
columns. Then we had to answers four questions related to the spreadsheet. I
had to border the columns so it looked neat. Also I had to format the names in
specific order from a to z. I learned how to pick and calculate using the
formula button on excel. I formatted the text so it looked easy to read and
understand. If I could change anything I would format the questions better so
that they do not run on and combine with the answers.

to represent a grade book for ten students. Then I had to calculate the grades
for each student. I had to calculate the number of exams taken, the final exam
grade, the final average, and exam averages of 6 exams. For this activity I had
to use the formula button so I could do the calculations. I had to bold the
topic of each column so it looked organized. I learned how to use the formulas
Count, Maximum, Minimum, and Average to find out information. I also learned how
they each work and when I should use them. I used the correct formulas and
imported the correct information within the formula. If I could improve
something I would add conditional formatting so it would be easier to read.

salary for each employee. At the end I had to answer questions relating to the
spreadsheet. To find these I had to use the IF function to find the percent
income and then by finding that it was easy to find the raise which was the
salary of the last year multiplied by the percent income. To find the salary I
had to add the salary of last year and the raise of the present year together. I
had to use formulas to find the correct information. I learned how to calculate
by using the IF button which made the assignment easy. I used the formulas
correctly which made the information right. If I could change anything I would

The conditional formatting PowerPoint was a group project where
we had to explain three ways it is used in a spreadsheet. Each one of my team
members had to pick a different type of option of conditional formatting and
then we had to create an activity to explain it. After we had created the
example we had to create a PowerPoint so we could explain what conditional
formatting is used for, what each function does, and the benefits of using it.
Then we had to present it to the rest of our class. To complete this assignment
we used Excel and PowerPoint. Also we used Google docs so we could share the
project with each other. I learned how to use conditional formatting to make my
work look better. When we presented the information to the class we explained it
in deep coverage and it was very organized. I would improve this by adding media
to it. Also next time I will say that we are done with presenting and not stand there awkwardly.
